"STATE" by Ingri Fiksdal and Jonas Corell Petersen

STATE the new production by Ingri Fiksdal & Jonas Corell Petersen

Premiered 30th Sept & 1st Oct, 2016 at steirischer herbst festival in Graz

After “Hoods” and “Cosmic Body” STATE is the third piece in Ingri Fiksdals series “Choreography
as collective and affective event” as part of the Norwegian Artistic research program. In STATE, a
small society manifests itself through ritual dances, music and costumes. It bears the reminiscent of
cultures lost, mixed with speculations of what a new society could be. STATE is a reflection on ritual
practices and their possible transformative functions. Fiksdal and Petersen collaborate with noise artist
Lasse Marhaug and Danish designer Henrik Vibskov.

HOODS at the Belluard Bollwerk Festival this summer

July 3 - 4, 2015 // Festival Belluard Bollwerk International (CH)

HOODS by Ingri Fiksdal / Signe Becker takes shape as a meeting in a secret society where the occult faces the protracted, and dead and deadly bodies merge in a slowly dissolving landscape. The borders between choreography, scenography, performers and audience are fleeting, and navigation becomes something to choose.

“A delightful, surreal dream-like world with masquerade. You will find freedom behind the veil, light, colours, fabric, music and bodies floating freely in this pioneering theatre-goes-installation." Avant Garden Trondheim
